These beautiful Bastite double terminated polished points are commonly known as Dragon Stone. These particular ones are considered rare and are from an area in South Africa where there are hot springs. They have formed due to hydrothermal alteration. The dragon stone is a combination of epidote and piedmontite (which is also an epidote).  They have been polished in a lapidary local to their area so have not covered any air miles for the process. Robert Simmons & Naisha Ahsian give a good insight into the possible healing properties of piedmonte and epidote in their ‘Book of Stones’. A fabulous stone to add to a collection, and ideal for healing therapies, grids, etc.
