This blue kyanite cluster from Zimbabwe is a soft baby blue, combined with small amounts of quartz that fuses the two together into a pretty cluster. There is a red pyrope garnet present, with some further tiny patches of garnet, sitting amongst the many small blades of kyanite.
Kyanite is an aluminosilicate mineral with a triclinic crystal system and a hardness of 5-7.
