Labradorite
This rare labradorite from Madagascar has been skilfully polished in the local lapidary on one side to expose the stunning chatoyancy of colours. The light reflects off and through the layers of the labradorite to create beautiful vibrant shades of deep golden yellows blending with pinks and a splash of blue. A small movement of the stone will reveal a different display. Labradorite is a type of plagioclase feldspar that grows in complex aggregate layers. It is a sodium calcium aluminium silicate and has a triclinic lattice system. A stunning specimen to add to a collection. In the healing world Labradorite is considered to be the ultimate stone of magic and protection.
