This chunky fossilised wood slab is from Zimbabwe. It is a beautiful work of art from Mother Earth, created  as it has transitioned from decaying cone bearing pine wood to crystallisation during and following volcanic activity, over thousands of years. Believed to be as much as 200 million years old. The shades of browns are earthy and grounding just as the forest would be, and the rings have remained to remind us of the aging process. Full of character. Polished on one side, raw and natural on the other. Rare and very collectible
