Rare Crystalline Smithsonite Aragonite
This exquisite crystalline Smithsonite Aragonite is from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Smithsonite Aragonite is rarely found in this formation, and this particular piece displays some fabulous crystalline botryoidal growth, and has specks of malachite on the one side. A variable coloured trigonal crystal, this is a secondary mineral created in the weathering or oxidation zone of zinc bearing ore deposits.
This stunning collector’s specimen piece is a rare treasure from Mother Earth.
