This pretty cobaltoan calcite on a matrix from the copper mines of Democratic Republic of Congo is uncommon and is coloured by traces of cobalt. The calcite is covered with druzy crystalline growth creating a sparkly effect. The druzy calcite can be seen on both sides of the matrix and on parts of the sides. The green spots are malachite. Very much a stone for the heart chakra and ideal for healing therapies.
