Almost wand like, this quirky Shangaan is all about the bubbles. I’ve found 4 + moving bubbles, there may be more. They are completely mesmerising, so if you like the hunt and watching the bubbles bob around, this is definitely the one for you. A lovely tactile quartz to hold in the hand, there are several horizontal striations on all sides, and some interesting etchings. There is some external coating and a patch of rock with a small entry hole near the base. The top half is clear with some smokey amethyst hues, and the lower half is partly cloudy. There are several inclusions within.  A valuable addition to a collection and ideal for deep therapeutic healing.

Chiredzi / shangaan smokey amethyst is surface mined by the indigenous Shangaan people of southeast Zimbabwe. The quartz is a fairly recent find and is unique to this area. It is gathered with simple hand tools. 
 
Chiredzi / Shangaan quartz has unusual elestial / skeletal growth features and can often be found as sceptres, which display a second growth over the top of the initial growth. Many of them are double terminated and several contain hematite and lepidocrosite inclusions, as dots and threads. There are often holes or indents penetrating the quartz and some display a fenster type growth with several layerings. Phantoms and colour zoning are common features. 
 
Metaphysical qualities
These beautiful and usual quartz have many healing qualities. The amethyst is cleansing and purifying deep within the core of the human energy field, balancing and calming on a multi-dimensional level. The amethyst aids insight, clarity, intuition and wisdom. It helps one connect to the higher / inner self, allowing greater self awareness.

The smokey element asssists with grounding the energies in to Mother Earth, which is stabalising and anchoring. The smokey presence helps to align the spiritual with the physical balancing the energy system and aiding self empowment, confidence and self worth. It will protect the energy system and dispel unwanted energies that disempower.
