For the serious collector, this unique earthy smokey quartz from Zomba, Milawi is packed with blue Reibeckite, siderite cubes, and epididymite nodules. This smokey quartz oozes charm, and sits upright displaying its mineral treasures. Some sweet baby quartz points sit atop the largest face, and there are some pretty rainbow flashes on display.
The blue fibrous Reibeckite, (amphibole) can be seen under light. The abundant epididymite nodules, a rare sodium beryllium silicate, sit just under the surface of the quartz with some suspended deeper within, as do the siderite cubes. These are an iron carbonate mineral belonging to the calcite family,
