Snow Finger Quartz
This fascinating wand like quartz has pseudomorphed after dogtooth calcite and formed a secondary coating of druzy Quartz with a smokey element. The calcite still remains within. Stalagmitic in appearance, this Quartz fills the hand and is quite chunky.
This unusual and quirky Quartz is a relatively new find from Lesotho, in a place known fondly as Albert’s mountain. Albert, who is from the Puti tribe, occasionally takes off into the mountains of Lesotho and finds these very special Quartz.
Lesotho is nicknamed, The Kingdom of Sky and is home to breathtaking mountain ranges. It is a small kingdom, locked into South Africa.
