This stunning purple Veracruz Amethyst has a five sided Isis face, and a beautiful phantom within. It has very good clarity and a lovely lustre. Saturated with purple hues, most intense at the tip. There is some cloud at the base end. There is a mirror fracture within and some rainbow flashes, and there are some tiny red hematite dots. A fabulous quartz to add to a collection and ideal for meditation, spiritual practice and therapeutic healing.

Veracruz Amethyst is from a mountainous area near Las Vigas, in Veracruz state, Mexico. It is considered to be one of the finest amethyst in the world. It is mined as a family business, using hand tools, and wheelbarrows. The side of the mountain has several openings going into short horizontal tunnels.
